PGX Powder and High Fiber Diet for Weight Loss?

Should I try a really high fiber diet and PGX Powder if I am trying to lose weight?


I recently watched a TV program talking about a product called PGX Powder and diets high in fiber. The diet appealed to me because:

I tend to consume quite a bit of veggies and high fiber foods in general.
Doctors are saying that just eating 35 or more grams of fiber per day will make you burn 200 more calories a day since your body uses extra energy to process the fiber.

I guess this is where PGX Powder helps since you can get a lot of fiber that blocks carbs and it gives you the extra fiber.  I’ve been on the diet only two weeks and I am wondering if this will work in the long run.  Has anyone tried this?

I have tried it and acm currently doing the PGX Powder and fiber. It works better than Atkins or the South beach diet. If you know how carbs work and how they can cause you to gain weight then the product and fiber makes sense. The primary reason is that fiber takes longer to digest so you are full longer. The PGX takes it a step further by binding to the carbs so they release slowly into you system and never get laid down as fat.

This is more healthy and safer than other diets. The results may not be as quick but you will slowly lose the weight and keep it off. You will improve your health as well wich is an added bonus.

    I heard eating that much fiber is actually bad for you. It probably only helps you poop more that’s why you notice weight loss. it’s probably not body fat but just fecal mass.

      Eating more fiber is really good for you. You have to ingest liquids as well. Fiber cleans the pipes so to speak. That is why PGX is great. With just a little it does some huge results.

    Here’s the scoop, plain and simple. Burn more calories than you take in. Add up all the calories in all your food, It sucks, but if you have a routine diet you will begin to memorize the calorie count. If you cant find the time to count calories, then i guess losing fat isnt worth your time either, feel me?

    Due to a health problem, my doctor perscribed a high fiber diet a year ago. I have followed it strictly…no change in exercise or anything and lost 10 lbs (I was not overweight, just a couple extra lbs) in the last year. I would say increasing your fiber would definitely help you loose extra weight and keep you healthy.
